I watched that new show Shatner is in with Terry Bradshaw, Henry Winkler, and George Foreman. It was hilarious!

Hi Molly, wasn’t sure where to post this, so thought I’d do it here:
Do you happen to know when James Doohan made his appearance in Portland at the Star Trek Convention? It may have been his last visit to Portland, not sure. I think it was around 1996 or 1997, near the airport (Holiday Inn?). I’m assuming you were there, as was I. I am trying to document that day (it was a Saturday). I had run into him on the hotel stairway; he was lost, and he asked me for directions on how to get to the auditorium; later that day, I got his autograph after waiting in (what seemed to be) a mile-long line of autograph seekers.
Would appreciate your help…if you happen to have the date/year documented somewhere. I know that the convention was sanctioned/organized by Creation Entertainment. Thanks!

Argh, I spelled your name wrong and apparently can’t go back and fix it. Sorry, MOLLIE!

I never saw James Doohan at a Portland Creation con. I did see him in 1998 at a Slanted Fedora Con. in Eugene. In 1997 Creation’s con with Bill Shatner was at the Marriot down town. I don’t think they moved to the Airport Red Lion until after that. Fun to remember. Sorry I can’t give you your date. LLAP.
