Hi Mollie, I have emailed you a couple of time but all I get is email address not found. So I hope I can catch up with you here…My book did arrive it was much larger than I had thought I hope to settle down tonight and start reading it I bet I won’t be able to put it down and a few of my friends want a review once im finished…Thank you so much for signing it,really made my day..I volunteered at my local shelter for a few years I really enjoyed helping the cats and kittens also the feral ones it was a challenge but to see them turn from missy cats to trustworthy and lovable ones it was so rewarding. I also liked spending time with the older ones as in some of them their eyes spoke volumes wondering why they were here where was the human that they loved and cared for them so dearly it was rewarding hearing there first purr or even kiss….Unfortunately my 20 year old son has schizophrenia so im now his full time carer…But I still have joy meeting people like you on here and meeting amazing cats. I can’t imagine why anybody would abuse animals. I don’t know about the laws here in ORE-gon, do you Miss Mollie? I sure hope they put the bad people away that hurt animals. Mew Mew!
Oregon has some of the toughest anti-abuse laws in the US. We have 3 full-time Animal Cops that work our of the Oregon Humane Society, and in the coming years, OHS is expanding their abuse and neglect focus. As to why someone would abuse an animal, I can’t imagine either, and that’s a good thing: our empathy with living creatures is what sets apart from the abusers.
