Why buy a pet from a breeder when so many “accidental” animals need loving homes? And if you must have that special breed, try a Breeder Rescue. Shelters also offer breed animals as well as mutts. Adopt your next pet from a shelter.

I gotta say, I think it should be mandatory to rehome first. I bet the breeders would scream at that though. A national register of all companions needing a home would be awesome.

That’s what Mom did. She new she wanted a Persian kitty of any age, so she looked online to find one through a shelter – and found me! The kitty before me was also adopted from a shelter and so is Bessie the doggie. Winks!
